Ingredient Glossary

A plain-language guide to the key ingredients used across True Regimen formulas, and what each one is designed to do.

Hydration and barrier support

Hyaluronic Acid

A humectant that binds water in the skin to improve hydration and the appearance of fine lines. Suitable for all skin types, including oily skin.

Niacinamide

A form of vitamin B3 that supports the skin barrier and helps improve the appearance of tone, texture and fine lines. Generally well tolerated.

Ceramides and Barrier Lipids

Ceramides, fatty acids and cholesterol are naturally part of the skin barrier. Replenishing them helps reinforce the skin's protective layer and reduce moisture loss.

Sodium PCA

A naturally occurring humectant that helps the skin attract and retain moisture, supporting comfort in drier skin.

Exfoliation and texture

Salicylic Acid

A beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that exfoliates within the pore, helping to refine texture, clear surface dullness and support clearer-looking skin.

Lactic Acid

An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently exfoliates the skin surface while also offering mild hydrating properties.

Antioxidants and protection

Vitamin C

An antioxidant that helps defend skin against environmental stress and contributes to a brighter, more even-looking complexion.

Vitamin E

An antioxidant that helps protect the skin and is often paired with vitamin C for complementary defense.

Ferulic Acid Ester

An antioxidant that supports and helps stabilize other antioxidants, strengthening overall environmental defense.

Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide

Mineral sun filters that provide broad-spectrum physical protection by reflecting and scattering UV light.

Acne care

Benzoyl Peroxide

An antibacterial active that helps eliminate acne-causing bacteria and reduce future breakouts. Best introduced gradually.

Soothing ingredients

Evodiox

A soothing agent derived from the Chinese plant Evodia rutaecarpa, used to help calm sensitive and reactive skin.

Allantoin

A calming ingredient that helps soothe the skin and is well suited to dry, compromised or post-procedure skin.
